U2charist Rock Mass
The U2charist Rock Mass is an Anglican Communion service that features the
music of the band U2. The service is designed to raise awareness of the UN's
Millennium Development Goals (MDG's) and urges us to take action to end
extreme poverty in our time by supporting charities that are in alignment
with the MDG's such as www.christmasfuture.org or the National Anglican
World Relief Fund - www.pwrdf.org
Led by the Global MDG ambassador, Bono, the UN is calling people worldwide
in their local settings to do what they can to help make these 8 goals a
reality for all God's people.
THE MILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS ARE:
- Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
- Achieve universal primary education
- Promote gender equality and empower women
